Warrior Socks

This is our September '08 Sock Club Pattern.
Every woman is strong. Every woman is brave. But there’s something special about a woman touched by breast cancer. She fights the demons and slays the dragons hiding in tiny cells. She’s a Warrior. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and these socks are the perfect gift to give the woman in your life who has been touched by this disease. Perhaps she’s a mother, sister, friend, grandmother, teacher, or mentor. Give her these socks, wrapped in symbolic hugs and kisses, and let her know that you’re thinking of her. Because even a warrior needs to feel loved.
Gauge: 32 stitches and 48 rows = 4 inches in stockinette
Needles: US 1/2.25 mm (DPNs, magic loop or two circs)
Yarn: 240 - 300 yards of sportweight
